day one

Ahh, New York...

My flight in from Chicago was absolutely beautiful...not going to lie though I had to hide my face when the tears started to roll down my face! I miss everyone at home so much it hurts to think about it...

Enough about that though...
My flight was beautiful, as I was saying. I looked out my window and saw the Big Apple right under me! It was surreal seeing New York from that angle for the first time.
I can't believe that I'm living out this dream that I never thought I even had!

When I got here, Tony picked me up and we talked the whole way to Manhasset. He's a great dad, I can tell! He told me that New York is actually like 5 counties...that's SOOO big! Luckily for me there is a trainstation right down the road from where the Amatos live, and I can walk to it...it goes to various parts of the city and to a way cool baseball field where the Mets play! I can't wait to go to a game!

I got all unpacked and I can tell I'm going to have a hard time sleeping...I always feel awkward trying to sleep somewhere I've never been before. When I was living at Shalese's it took me a week and a half to get comfortable sleeping without the TV or my music going...

I met the kids too, except for Tommy. I'll meet him eventually. I dont know when the actual nannying begins but I hope that I'm cut out for it!

Oh, just a funny story...right when I start having a conversation with Grace (the 12 year old) this cute little mouse crawls out from under the closet and she lets out this huge gasp and climbs on the table! I was like it's just a mouse...and she was like it's gross! Haha I laughed...but now the mouse is hiding somewhere in the basement...where my bed is...it's gonna be a longggg night.

Swimming tomorrow at 9...lets hope I don't get made fun of! Haha!
